Tracking Current Federal Legislation and Regulations: A Guide to Basic Sources
Identifies Internet, library, and other commonly available resources that you can use to track federal legislation and regulations.

 

FedForms.gov
Provides access to PDF images of forms needed for the top 500 government services used by the public; search by agency or keyword.

Student Guide
The Student Guide is the most comprehensive resource on student financial aid from the U.S. Department of Education. Grants, loans, and work-study are the three major forms of student financial aid available through the Department's Student Financial Assistance office. Updated each award year, The Student Guide tells you about the programs and how to apply for them.  Available in Spanish.


Citizenship and Immigration Services'  "How Do I ...?"
Answers to questions, such as "How do I get a work permit?" and "How do I bring an orphan to the U.S. to live?"


Consumer.gov
One-stop access to consumer information and assistance from the federal government, coordinated by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC). Covers product recalls, fraudulent practices, and buying tips.


GovLoans.gov
Single access point for popular federal loan programs with links to further resources. Choices include agriculture, small business, disaster relief, education, housing, and veterans.


Disaster Assistance: Readiness, Response, and Recovery
Information from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). FEMA Regional Offices provide additional local information.

USAJOBS and America's Job Bank
"USAJOBS" is the federal government's official website for federal jobs and employment information (from the U.S. Office of Personnel Management). "America's Job Bank" is a partnership between the Labor Department and state-operated Employment Services offices to nationally publicize job openings. Most openings are in the private sector.

Veterans Affairs (VA), Department of
Information on veterans' benefits and related issues. Fact Sheets, Programs & Issues links to summaries that contain statistics, histories, and descriptions of programs on a variety of topics, including state summary fact sheets.
