To Our
Nation’s Heroes,
This Christmas
Season, I want to extend to you my heartfelt gratitude for your
extraordinary service to our country. Throughout this nation's
history, American servicemen and women have made enormous sacrifices
overseas so that future generations may enjoy the peace and freedom we
all cherish so dearly. Your service in Iraq
and Afghanistan,
and elsewhere around the globe, adds to this distinguished legacy of
selflessness and courage. This nation will never take your remarkable
commitment and service for granted.
In this season of
love and light, I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and
prayers every day. May you and your loved ones share in an abundance of
God’s blessings during this Christmas season and the coming New
Year.
Sincerely,
U.S. Senator Robert
C. Byrd
