Education Benefits

The Congress has approved several programs designed to assist veterans who want to attend a college or university.  Perhaps the best known is the Montgomery G.I. Bill, which provides educational benefits to people who entered active duty for the first time after June 30, 1985, and received an honorable discharge.  To receive the maximum benefit, the veteran must have served at least three years in the Armed Forces.  A person can also qualify for this program by serving two continuous years in active service, followed by four years of Selected Reserve service, beginning within one year of release from active duty.  There are other programs available as well, including work study, the Veterans' Educational Assistance Program, and vocational rehabilitation.

If you are interested in any of these programs, I can help you to determine which best suits your needs.
